8th 2008, Edinburgh.
Alivox,
the Scottish based speech company and an advocate of
Spoken Language Identification (Sli), has announced
today, 8th July, a new release of its product ALiS(
Automatic Language Identification System). Release 2.0
of ALiS has improved performance and increased accuracy
following stringent quality and stress testing. The
improvements were confirmed after tests on various
languages including those conducted on major South
African languages with the help of a South African
company.
Alivox is at the forefront of
language identification software and services. Its goal
is to facilitate a fundamental change in telephone call
handling and language translation. Its product ALiS
delivers an accurate and fast identification of a clip
of speech, both live or recorded.
Automatic Language Identification
System (ALiS) provides the necessary link in the
realisation of truly global and multilingual speech
solutions. Technology already exists enabling automatic
spoken language translation, interpretation and
utterance, however, in order to fully automate spoken
language systems – and therefore to deliver the true
benefits of GILT-based commerce – one technological gap
must be bridged. That is automatic spoken language
identification.
Aimed at the global call centre
market Alivox’s Alis, is a unique solution, and is
designed to integrate with the increasing number of
voice processing and speech recognition systems.
Alivox is seeking dialogue with
Application Integrators with Call Centre and Mobile
Phone focus and believes there is a large market gap for
callers language Identification and anti fraud detection
solutions.
